Ever since Wacom released a trailer for the new Wacom Cintiq 24HD, I’ve been in love with it. I’ve worked with Wacom products since I first started drawing digitally in 2007, starting out with a Wacom Classic and I’ve since them upgraded my tablet again and again when I could afford it. The biggest change came when I did an internship during which I had to make conceptual art. The company had acquired a Wacom Cintiq, and I got to use it for the duration of the internship. When my internship there ended, they provided me with a Cintiq of my own as compensation for the 20 weeks I had spent working there.
I’ve had it for the better time of four years now. It’s been a liberation to me, because as some of you may know, I’m physically disabled, but this device (and art in general) has made me feel unlimited by my disability. It’s the one thing I have no doubts about. Unfortunately, my Wacom Cintiq 21UX (first generation) is getting a little rusty. It still works, and I’m still really glad to have it, but in order to grow as an artist, I’d very much like to upgrade to the beauty I mentioned above.
So, henceforth, every bit of money I make goes toward that. It costs 2500 euro, but I’m hoping to sell the 21UX for 500 euros once I get the 2000 euro to fund the rest.
That’s where you come in. You can help me by hiring me to do art for you. Another thing you can do is share this story using the social media buttons below.
