What inspires you to paint/Why do you paint?

I just really like the feeling I get when I paint. The feeling of accomplishment is one of my biggest drives. Painting is the only thing that makes me feel completely limitless and like I could do anything. I’m physically disabled, but when I paint, I feel like my disability just disappears.

When you paint, what kind of equipment do you use?

Wacom Intuos4 and Wacom Cintiq 24HD.

Which programs do you paint in?

Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Mac or PC?

Both, but mostly a PC.

Do you also do pencil art?

Sometimes, for practice. I’m not very good at it.

You edit photos!

Not a question, but no, I don’t. I use photos for reference and paint from scratch, but quite literally.

Have you had any classes in art?

Nope. I didn’t really like art when I was younger. Sometimes I wish I’d discovered it sooner so I could have gone to art school.

When did you start painting?

When I was about 19, in university.

Do you have a job in art?

No, I wish. My art related dream job would be either to work for a movie studio or for a record company, because I love music and movies and I’d love to see my art on album covers or on merchandise.

Is your art for sale?

Some of it is. Check the for sale tab in my portfolio. You can also buy my 2011 art book! Or order my 2012 limited edition art book.

Can I use your art?

Depends on what you want to use it for. Contact me about it and I’ll consider it.
